It is very rare for someone to work at the same company for their entire career. At some point a person will begin to question: is it time to start looking for a new job? If you're asking, then the answer is yes! However, there are some less obvious signs that it is time to start looking for a new job. Take a look:

  • You're bored: When your daily tasks are no longer of interest to you, it is time for a new challenge. You spend too much time at work to be bored.
  • You're not learning: If you've reached a point where there is nothing new for you to learn or take on in your position then you have most likely outgrown your role.
  • You're worried: Being concerned about anything from layoffs to not making enough money…if your job is making you worry it is time to start looking.
  • Your performance is suffering: Making mistakes you would never have made before? Not accomplishing as much as you used to? Find yourself delegating everything? It is time to find a job where being productive will make you happy!
  • You burn out: Probably the worst sign…When you just can't motivate yourself anymore. A certain level of exhaustion can be expected in any job but chronic stress or lack of enthusiasm is not normal.

If any of these signs are familiar or if you have found yourself asking 'is it time?' check out some of the jobs Fanning Personnel has to offer! We would love to help you take that next step in your career.
