Responsibilities:
- Invest account assets per Investment Policy Statement (IPS), primarily using mutual funds or ETFs while also occasionally trading individual fixed income and equity instruments. Organize trade activity based on account-specific requirements, taxability, and account groupings.
- Place trade orders received from Client Advisors or received on rebalancing system.
- Monitor and upload daily trade files.
- Complete trade reconciliation in collaboration with client service team.
- Resolve trading issues with Client Advisors and/or Custodians.
- Process non-rebalancing system trades.
- Work with investment team to process firm-wide directed trades.
- Run and update portfolio models to rebalance at Advisor's request.
- Run weekly rebalancing maintenance reports for model assignment review.
- Discretionary review of cash to invest/cash to raise.
- Update/maintain models/settings as needed in rebalancing system.
- Monitor accounts for deviations from target asset allocation, working collaboratively with Client Advisors and the Investment team to develop strategy to close deviations.
- Assist in portfolio transition management, tracking progress against client-level capital gains budgets.
- Update periodic reports summarizing capital market valuations/trends across all asset classes.
- Provide performance monitoring and analytical materials related to mutual fund holdings and prospective holdings.
- Perform ad hoc equity or fixed income analysis requests.
- Create, update and monitor reports which analyze current model portfolio attributes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- 2-4 years related mutual fund and ETF trading experience.
- Working knowledge of investments and investment analytics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), familiarity with Tamarac, YCharts or Morningstar desirable.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- High standards of quality and attention to detail.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment.
