Boston investment management firm is seeking a Senior Benefits Administrator to join their team! This individual will be service oriented working with affiliates, vendors, and employees. Working within a team, the Senior Benefits Administrator will work to ensure plan compliance and complete annual reporting

Position Responsibilities:

  • Administer employee benefit programs including health and welfare, flex-spending and health savings accounts, and retirement benefits.
  • Serve as contact with insurance carriers and third party administrators, leading all aspects of vendor service and meeting regularly to review service.
  • Act as system administrator for the benefits portal to handle employee benefits including processing benefit enrollments, life event changes and terminations as well as reviewing benefit submissions and documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Manage the daily administration of retirement program, including coordinating enrollments/terminations, reporting, and timely funding of the plan.
  • Participate in annual benefits renewal process - evaluating benefit program options, making recommendations and supporting implementation.
  • Coordinate leave of absence and disability programs, ensuring compliance with local and federal leave laws.
  • Reconcile monthly benefit invoices, distribute vendor bills to affiliates, and generate wire requests for billing payments.
  • Support employee benefit education efforts: develop impactful content for benefit open enrollment, email blasts, promotional materials, educational campaigns, and other communication efforts as needed.
  • Provide guidance and counsel to employees on benefit plan options, research and resolve escalated issues, and communicate Company policies and procedures related to benefits to employees and managers to ensure consistent application.
  • Collaborate with Shared Services team to ensure plan compliance and annual reporting requirements are met including plan audits, Summary Plan Descriptions, Summary Annual Reports, Form 5500 filings, and ACA reporting.
  • Provide superior customer service within the benefits function, responding to employee benefit inquiries and resolving complex matters.
  • Liaise with benefit service providers.
  • Participate in benefit surveys including analyzing results and summarizing data for any recommended changes to ensure competitiveness of benefits.
Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree and 4-6 years of benefits experience
  • Discretion in handling confidential and critical information
  • Excellent technical skills, particularly with Excel
  • Prior experience with external benefit administration software
  • Outstanding customer service orientation
  • Keen attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and run multiple projects
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations impacting benefits
