Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the Relationship Manager include:
-Serve as a dedicated point of contact for clients. Act as an advocate for the organization with each client. Participate in efforts to nurture and grow relationships.
-Collaborate with team on existing and new relationships (sub-advisory, OCIO, banks, insurance).
-Represent the investment views of the firm to consultants and clients. Stand in for portfolio managers and other members of the investment process as necessary.
-Partner with other functional areas to address client issues, concerns, and opportunities.
-Facilitate participation at seminars, conferences, summits, and road shows.
Qualifications:
The qualifications needed of the Relationship Manager include:
-Bachelor's degree required. Masters, MBA and/or CFA preferred.
-Minimum 7 years of experience focused on investment management. Prior experience with client-facing investment relationships is required.
-Proven ability to establish effective relationships. Develop strong rapport, and ultimately gain the trust and confidence of both internal teams and external clients. Ability to anticipate client needs and issues.
-Willingness to travel approximately 25%.
