Comforce, formerly Uniforce Staffing Services, was founded in 1961 in New York by staffing pioneer John Fanning. It quickly grew to be one of the largest and most successful temporary staffing service franchises in the country. Uniforce of Boston opened its doors in 1977 alongside permanent placement firm Fanning Personnel, which had been in operation since 1968.
